Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro Android 11 update via MIUI 12 is now rolling out to users currently. The smartphone is a mid-ranger that fought its competitors last year head to head. It was running on the Android 10 operating system based on the MIUI 11 out of the box.
The phone later got MIUI 12 update but still based on the Android 10 operating system. Now Xiaomi has decided to give the device the Android 11 operating system. Recall that the Poco M2 Pro is a rebadged Redmi Note 9 Pro (Indian version).
The Note 9 Pro got its Android 11 update in November last year and the Poco M2 Pro being the rebadged device, we expected it to follow suit but unfortunately, it didn’t.
So after 9 months, the Poco M2 Pro is getting its Android 11 update via MIUI 12. The update comes with the ‘V12.0.1.0.RJPINXM’ firmware version and pushed the security patch level to August 2021.
As always, it is rolling out in batches so not all users will get it now. The update fixes known issues and brings system improvement with a new user interface.
