Xiaomi has started teasing the Redmi 10 smartphone on their social media handles. The teaser image they posted revealed the primary camera resolution and colour options.
This morning, 14 August 2021, Xiaomi accidentally leaked the full specifications of the smartphone via their now withdrawn press statement. With that, we knew that the launch of the phone is imminent.
Now, the same day, they have started teasing the smartphone. It means that the phone may debut very soon. The teaser image they used confirmed the presence of a 50-megapixel primary camera.
It also shows that the phone will arrive in three gradient colours which are likely Grey, White and Blue. As per the leaked press release, these colours will be called Carbon Gray, Pebble White, Sea Blue.
This is all we can extract from the teaser poster. Now the leaked press statement reveals that the Xiaomi Redmi 10 will come with a 6.5-inch LCD.
It will have support for an adaptive refresh rate, which switches between 45, 60 and 90Hz. The Full HD+ display has a hole-punch cutout on top for the front camera.
Under the hood is an unreleased MediaTek Dimensity G88 SoC. It will come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The release confirmed that the device will launch in 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB storage configurations.
It will pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. The device will ship with a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
It will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
The quad-camera on the back includes a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. The Xiaomi Redmi 10 measures 161.96 x 75.54 x 8.93mm and weighs 182 grams.
