Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update in China. While it is currently rolling out in China, you can check your global version by going to the settings > about phone to see if you have been given the update.
The Mi Mix 3 is a flagship smartphone back in 2018. It was announced in October 2018 with a Snapdragon 845 chipset. It also runs on the MIUI user interface and Android 9 Pie operating system.
The device later got the Android 10 update last year which is based on MIUI 12. Now Xiaomi is pushing the MIUI 12.5 update to the device. Recall that the MIUI 12.5 was announced in December 2020 and it comes with improved features over the MIUI 12.
The MIUI 12.5 now has a 35% decrease in system memory usage and 25% power consumption. MIUI 12.5 brings a new light cone motion effect architecture, more immersive translucent motion blur, new super wallpapers, new notification system sounds, more delicate vibration touch e.t.c

To recall, the Mi Mix 3 comes with a 6.39 inches Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset which uses an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz. It is running on the Android 10 operating system based on MIUI 12.5 user interface.
The phone is available in lots of storage configurations. It comes in 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, and 256GB 10GB RAM. There is no microSD card slot.
Photography wise, it features a 12MP main camera and 12MP telephoto sensor. Selfie lovers get a 24 +2MP camera upfront.
The phone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. What is giving the device energy is a 3200mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
