Xiaomi Mi 10i that was launched on January 5th this year has finally received an Android 11 update. When the smartphone was unveiled in January, it runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 skin. It is worth noting that the Mi 10i is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The Note 9 Pro 5G has earlier received this update because it debuted first before the Mi 10i.
The update has the build number V12.0.2.0.RJSINXM. It comes with the April security patch but it is still in the beta phase though. The update won’t reach everybody immediately but will in the coming days. Xiaomi has unveiled the MIUI 12.5 but for a reason best known to them, they refused to ship the OS alongside this Android 11 update. Redmi Note 10 Pro and Max are currently receiving the MIUI 12.5 update in India.
Recall that the Xiaomi Mi 10i was launched on January 5th 2021. It comes with a 6.67inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset which has an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, paired with an Adreno 619 GPU.
