The Xiaomi 12 camera details have leaked via Weibo. As most people might know, the Mi 12 series are expected to succeed the Mi 11 series of this year. However, Xiaomi has dropped its ‘Mi’ moniker and said that they will be launching smartphones without the ‘Mi’ prefix henceforth.
For example, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra wouldn’t have been Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra rather Xiaomi 11 Ultra. That’s exactly what they mean and it will be implemented in the next Mi 12 series that will be launching in the first quarter of next year, probably.
Now ahead of the launch which is still far, Weibo leakster, Digital Chat Station, has leaked the camera details of the upcoming phone. He revealed that the phone will sport a 50-megapixel primary camera, 50-megapixels ultra-wide, and 50-megapixel telephoto lens.
In other words, the Xiaomi 12 will come with a triple camera setup at the rear and all sensors will have a 50-megapixel count. He also revealed that Xiaomi is said to be working on a 10x periscope lens, but the Xiaomi 12 will come with a telephoto sensor with a 5x periscope lens.
These are all the information shared by Digital Chat Station. He warns that Xiaomi is still in the design verification stage with the Xiaomi 12 and the final hardware details may be completely different than what is leaked at the moment.
