Vivo Y21 has been launched in India. The smartphone is the successor of the Y20 of last year. Sadly, the phone doesn’t come with any upgrade at all. The Y21 is still the Y20 with a different coating.
Maybe Vivo did this to keep the Y20 series line-up updated and alive. The new Y21 comes with a refined body with a dual rear camera in a rectangular module and a ‘V’ notch cut-out upfront for the selfie camera.
Specifications and features of the Vivo Y21
The phone comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz screen refresh rate.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 chipset paired with a 4GB RAM + 64GB/128GB ROM. The phone is running on the Android 11 operating system with Funtouch OS 11.1 user interface.
At the rear, the dual-camera includes a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture siting in a ‘V’ notch cut-out. What is keeping the light on is a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Connectivity features present on the device include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and measures 164x76x8 mm and weighs 182 grams.

The price of the Vivo Y21 in India is Rs. 13990 for the 4GB + 64GB version, while the 4GB RAM model with 128GB storage costs Rs. 15,490. It is available for pick up in Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue colour options.
The device will be available in India through Vivo India E-store, Amazon.in, Flipkart, Tatacliq, Paytm, and other retail stores.
