Vivo has been releasing lots of phones recently. Some of the phones are midrange devices while some are entry-level to budget smartphones. Their most recent smartphone is the Y53s and Y73 in India.
A new report shows that Vivo is gearing up to launch yet another smartphone under the Y series lineup. The smartphone is dubbed Vivo Y12a. Although Vivo has not said anything about the phone, the retail box and complete specifications are already in the public domain.
The smartphone will come with a 6.51-inches IPS LCD display with a 720p resolution. Under the hood, the device will run on the Android 11 operating system based on Funtouch OS 11 skin. It is fuelled by the Snapdragon 439 chipset.
One storage option is available which is 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. There is a slot for a micro SD card in case the user runs out of storage. The rear houses a 13-mega pixel camera and a 2-mega pixel camera. On the front, it has an 8-mega pixel selfie camera.
For the battery capacity, the Vivo Y12a comes with a 5000mAh battery which only supports 10W slow charging. The specs of this phone are exactly the same as the recently announced Y12s 2021 in Vietnam.
Vivo Y12a could be the Y12s 2021 for the Indian market. From the specs, it can be said that it is a budget smartphone. Vivo has not said anything about it so the price is unknown for now.
The Y12s 2021 that was unveiled in Vietnam is priced at VND 3,290,000 (Rs 10,445). With the Y12a having the same exact specifications, we could assume that the phone will be priced similarly.
