Vivo launched the Y52s midrange smartphone in December last year. The smartphone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G chipset. It also comes with 6GB RAM, 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM configurations. The launch price then is 1,898 Yuan (~$290).
Now Vivo has decided to re-launch the same smartphone but this time with a different chipset and storage configurations. The new version of the phone is dubbed Vivo Y52s (t1 edition) and it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Although, everything else is the same as the original version.
Vivo just renewed it with a different chipset and storage. The old Y52s also got a new storage configuration. It now has 8GB RAM and a 256GB ROM version. The new Vivo Y52s (t1 edition) is priced at ¥1999 (~$309). The original Y52s new 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM variant is priced at this same price.
Y52s (t1 edition) also have an 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant but the price isn’t revealed. The phone is just a renewed version with a different chipset.
Vivo Y52s (t1 edition) specifications and features
Y52s (t1 edition) comes with a 6.58inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset which has an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with an Adreno 619 GPU.
It is running on Android 10 with Funtouch 10.5, assisted by 128GB + 8GB RAM and 256GB 8GB RAM. The rear houses a two camera sensor. The main camera is 48MP and there is a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.
A fingerprint scanner is located on the right side of the phone and what is keeping the light on is a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
