In February last year, Sharp launched the Aquos R5G smartphone in Japan. The smartphone is a flagship device for Sharp and it is the first Sharp smartphone to debut with 5G connectivity. It also brings a 120Hz refresh rate and 8K video recording on the table. Sharp is a tech company that also makes consumer tech products. Their smartphones are not popular in Africa nor most of the American or Asian countries. They are well known in their home country Japan.
Now it seems like the company is trying to bring the successor of the Aquos R5G smartphone. A tipster leaked its official renders and launch date. The successor is dubbed Sharp Aquos R6 and it will debut on May 10. Sharp is really working to improve the camera performance of the new Aquos R6. The company has teamed up with Leica to offer optimized camera performance.

The smartphone will come with a centred punch hole cut-out for the selfie camera. It will also come with a curved display. The rear of the phone houses a huge rectangular camera module which seems to be housing two sensors and a single Led flash. Overall, the Aquos R6 will be a thick device.
