Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold3 at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 3. The device is said to be accompanied by the Galaxy Z Flip3 and the Galaxy Watch4 series. Ahead of the said conference, more details about the Galaxy Z Fold3 have emerged.
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 leak sheds some light on the phone’s chipset, camera setup, storage, and Indian launch timeline. These details come from Yogesh (@heyitsyogesh). The tipster has partnered with 91Mobiles to share this information.
According to the leakster, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and not the newly announced Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The silicon will be coupled with up to 512GB of internal storage, however, the amount of RAM is not known at the moment.
Talking about cameras, the handset will house triple 12MP sensors on the back. These could be paired with a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens. Additionally, the phone will come with two under-display cameras. A 16MP sensor will sit underneath the internal main screen, whereas a 10MP sensor will be behind the external cover screen.
Lastly, as per Yogesh, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will be unveiled in India in the second week of August, which is only a week away from the global announcement. The device will go on sale at the end of the same month in the US and the UK. The sales in India will commence from September.
According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 will be equipped with a 7.55-inch, and 6.23-inch cover screen. The handset will have support for a special S Pen stylus called ‘Fold Edition’. Last but not least, its production has begun and it is reported to cost less than its predecessor.
