Samsung Galaxy M01s has started receiving Android 11 updates in India. The update is said to reach other countries over the next few weeks. Galaxy M01s is a budget smartphone with a Mediatek Helio P22 chipset that was launched on July 16 last year.
When the device was announced, it is running on the Android 9 operating system with OneUI 1.0 user interface. Later last year, the device was upgraded to the Android 10 operating system. Now Samsung is dishing out the Android 11 update for the phone.

The Android 11 update for the Galaxy M01s comes with an M017FXXU2CUG1 firmware version. It also comes with a July 2021 security patch update via OneUI 3.1 user interface. You can wait for the update via OTA or you can go to the settings > software update to manually install the update.
Some of the features the update brought to the table includes a refreshed UI design, more consistent iconography, smoother animations and transitions, improved performance, and better security.
It also comes with one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, Conversations section in the notifications area, a dedicated media playback widget below quick setting toggles, and improved Digital Wellbeing.
To recall, the M01s comes with a 6.2-inches PLS IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It is powered by the Mediatek Helio P22 chipset, paired with a 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM.
At the rear, it has a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. What is keeping the light on is a 4000mAh battery capacity.
