Samsung Galaxy F42 5G has been spotted on the Google Play Console listing. It was spotted before on WiFi alliance certification which revealed that it won’t come with WiFi 6. It has also shown on Bluetooth SIG which revealed that it will come with Bluetooth 5.0 version.
Even on GeekBench, the smartphone also appeared running on MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM. Now the latest appearance of the F42 5G is on Google Play Console. Google Play Console listing shows that the phone will come with a water-drop notch display.
The smartphone is also listed with Samsung Galaxy Wide5 which is the same phone but for a different market. The F42 5G may be arriving in South Korea as the Galaxy Wide5. The phone is listed with Full HD+ resolution and MT6833V/NZA processor which is none other than the Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset.
It will run on Android 11 paired with 6GB RAM. The phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is speculated that the Galaxy F42 5G is a rebadged Galaxy A22 5G.
If that should be the case, we assume that it will come with a 6.6-inch TFT LCD Infinity-U display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It could sport an 8MP selfie camera and a 48MP+5MP+2MP triple-camera setup at the rear.
It could have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. The Galaxy F42 5G may come in two storage configurations such as 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM.
What could be fuelling the device may be a 5000 or 6000mAh battery capacity with 15W fast charging.
Other expected features of the device include GPS, 5G, a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
