A hands-on image of the Samsung Galaxy A82 has been leaked. The smartphone really resembles the A72 and the A Quantum 2 that will make its way to Korea very soon. It has a vertical camera module that holds three sensors and a punch-hole display.
The phone will likely have a glass back with a curved display. A leaked screen panel of the A Quantum 2 is curved which hints that it will come with a curved display. We also assume the Galaxy A82 will come with a curved display as well because speculations are saying that the A82 is the same as the A Quantum 2 for Koreans.
We don’t know how true that is but the recent rendering and key specs of these devices are proving the point. If you recall, the Samsung Galaxy A80 was launched back in 2019 with a flip camera.
It doesn’t have a front camera but the rear camera flips to the front to allow you to take a selfie. This technology resulted in a massive demand for the A80 last two years. However, in 2020, lots of people were looking forward to see what the A81 will bring to the table but it is quite unfortunate that we didn’t see it.
Now comes 2021, Samsung is working to bring the A82 but without the flip camera mechanism. This time with a punch hole cut-out upfront as per the render. Not much is known about the Samsung Galaxy A82 but we expect to see a Sony IMX686 sensor, which is a 64MP camera. Recent reports revealed that it will be powered by the 2019 Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
