It seems like Samsung is preparing to launch another Galaxy A52 smartphone very soon. A smartphone believed to be the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification hinting at imminent launch in India.
The smartphone is listed with the model number SM-A528B/DS. Aside from this, no information is known regarding the Galaxy A52s 5G. Recall that Samsung dropped the ‘S’ series after launching the Galaxy A50s back in 2019. Since then, there hasn’t been any Galaxy ‘A5 series with the ‘S’ moniker.
Although, Samsung is still using the ‘S’ on the Galaxy ‘A’ series, ‘M’ series and recent ‘F’ series. The BIS certification of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G suggest that it will be an improved version of the A52 5G. Maybe it will come with a 3X zoom lens replacing the depth lens on the standard A52 5G.
It could also come with a new chipset onboard. But the rest of the specs could be similar to the standard A52 5G. The smartphone receiving BIS certification shows that it will be unveiled in India. There is also a chance that it will be unveiled in South Korea.
South Korea as of writing has not received the Galaxy A52 5G and the A72, so Samsung might be launching the A52s 5G in the region to replace the A52. Galaxy A52 is undoubtedly the best selling mid-range smartphone this 2021, it will be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G will perform.
