One thing about Samsung is that they don’t joke with updates. They constantly release updates to their devices, as far as the device is still eligible. The Samsung Galaxy A20 is receiving an Android 11 update via OneUI 3.1.
Recall that the device runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box but received an Android 10 update last year, now Samsung is pushing further Android 11 update to the smartphone. This is likely going to be its last OS update. Users in Russia have already received the update weeks ago.
Now Indians are currently receiving the update. Remember, if you are not in India and you own Galaxy A20, you can still check to see if the update is available to you. There is no much information regarding the update for Indians, like the changelog and stuff.
However, if we go by the changelog of the Russian update, we can expect that the India update comes with improved privacy and security, updated stock apps, improved UI and much more. The update bears the A205FXXUACUF3 number.
Users are advised to update only when the phone’s battery is not less than 60% and you have a strong internet connection. You can head over to settings and then software updates to see if you have received the update. The update also comes with June 2021 security patch.
