Samsung Galaxy A10s Android 11 update has started rolling out to users in Malaysia and Vietnam. Recall that the Galaxy A10s was unveiled on August 12 2019, almost two years ago. When it was unveiled, it is running on the Android 9 Pie operating system.
Last year 2020, it received an Android 10 update via OneUI 2.1 and now Samsung is pushing the Android 11 update via OneUI 3.1 to the smartphone. This will be the last OS update for the smartphone. It will only be receiving security updates in the future.
The Android 11 update that is currently rolling out for the Galaxy A10s has an A107FXXU8CUG1 firmware version but the size is known. However, always use a strong internet connection for updating such updates. The update comes alongside July 2021 security patch with improved UI.
The Android auto bug issue that most of the Galaxy A10s users are facing has been fixed. The update brings improved stability and performance to the smartphone.
Some of the other features include a refreshed UI design, improved stock apps such as Samsung Internet and Samsung Keyboard, one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, redesigned Device Care menu, the ability to remove GPS location data from images, easier access to smart home controls, more lock screen options, conversations section in the notifications area, and a dedicated media player widget below quick setting toggles.
The update is currently rolling out to users in Malaysia and Vietnam. If you have not received it yet, you can manually check Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install. Users outside the said countries will likely receive theirs soon.
Samsung Galaxy A10s Android 11 update rolling out
If you are in India or Africa, you can still check your Samsung Galaxy A10s for the Android 11 update. It is possible that it is rolling out to you as well but if not, you have to get patience. Galaxy A10s has a 6.2-inches HD PLS IPS display.
It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and comes with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixels dual rear camera. It has an 8-megapixel selfie camera and powered by a 4000mAh battery.
