MediaTek just announced two new midrange 5G chipsets today, they are the Dimensity 810 and the Dimensity 920. Immediately after the launch, Realme India and Europe CEO, Madhav Sheth, revealed that Realme will be the first phone maker to debut a phone with the Dimensity 810 chipset.
He didn’t mention the particular phone but the folks at 91mobiles had earlier revealed a Realme phone running on MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset and it is dubbed the Realme 8s.
So Madhav Sheth might be referring to the Realme 8s smartphone. He didn’t mention the launch date or timeline we should expect the phone but being the first to debut with the Dimensity 810 chipset, the launch might be around the corner.
91mobiles also revealed earlier that the smartphone will come with a 6.5-inches display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There will be a 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variant with an extra 5GB virtual RAM. The inbuilt storage will reach up to 256GB.
The phone will have a 64MP main rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera. Battery capacity will be 5000mAh with 33W fast charging. There will be a Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The MediaTek Dimensity 810 is a mid-range chipset with full 5G support. It uses Cortex-A76 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz. The chipset also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 64MP camera.
