Realme 8s and the Realme 8i release date has been finally revealed. Recall that Realme confirmed last month that they will be launching the Realme 8i and 8s smartphones very soon. Even recently, a tipster revealed the launch timeline of the smartphones to be in September.
Now we have known the exact date for the launch this month. The release date of these smartphones was revealed by their Flipkart landing page. As per the landing page on Flipkart, they will be unveiled on September 9 this month.
The company may also launch the Realme Pad alongside. While the landing page only reveals the release date, we have known almost everything regarding these phones through leaks and certifications.
Realme 8i will come powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, making it the first smartphone to arrive with this chipset in India. It will also be a 4G only smartphone, no 5G.
On the other hand, the Realme 8s will be the first smartphone in the world to come with the Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset. It will also come with 5G connectivity.
The phone will come with a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will run on Android 11 OS paired with Realme UI 2.0 user interface. It will come in two storage configurations. There will be 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM.
It will also have 5GB virtual RAM support. On the rear, there will be a 64-megapixel triple rear camera. The selfie camera will be 16-megapixels. Battery capacity will be 5000mAh with 33W fast charging support.
Other features of the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.
Realme 8i will come with a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96, paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
At the rear, it will come with a triple camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There will be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter onboard.
It will come with a 5000mAh battery capacity with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone has 8.6mm thickness and weighs 194 grams.
