OnePlus dived into the midrange market last year with the launch of OnePlus Nord. Now it seems that they are trying to bring its successor. We have seen the OnePlus Nord 2 specs tipped in the past as well as alleged renders.
The latest report is that the AI Benchmark results have revealed the chipset that is powering the smartphone. As per the result, the OnePlus Nord 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
Netizens also tipped that the smartphone might be the rebadged Realme X9 Pro. Rumours have it that the smartphone will be unveiled next month, July. Recent leak about the phone reveals a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, 128GB + 8GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options.
It will run on the Android 11 operating system. The AI Benchmark results also suggest that it could have a better AI performance than the Exynos 2100 powered Galaxy S21 Ultra with 12GB RAM and Galaxy S21 Plus with 8GB RAM. However, it scored below the Snapdragon 888 powered Galaxy S21 Plus with 8GB RAM and Galaxy S21 with 8GB RAM.
Ever since these leaks are popping out, OnePlus has not made any comment regarding the existence of the OnePlus Nord 2. However, a report revealed that they confirmed its moniker at the Stadia Premiere Edition promo event.
OnePlus Nord 2 Leaked Specs
Onleaks, a popular leakster has tipped the specifications of the Nord 2. It will come with a 6.43-inches AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is expected to run on the Android 11 operating system, assisted by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
As for the cameras, the main camera might be a 50-mega pixel sensor, accompanied by 8-mega pixels and 2-mega pixels sensors. On the front, it will have a 32-mega pixel selfie shooter. What is keeping the light on is a 4500mAh battery capacity.
