Over the past few days, OnePlus has been teasing the OnePlus 10 Pro and now, they have decided to make it official. The company has announced the OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone in China today.
The smartphone will be the successor of the OnePlus 9 Pro announced in March last year 2021. The OnePlus 10 Pro brings a whole new design to the table and slightly added features. Let’s talk about those.
Features, price and specs of the OnePlus 10 Pro
Like we said earlier, the smartphone brings a whole new design, the camera metal housing now melts through the frame like on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and it also features big sensors like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
It has a matte glass rear and measures 163 x 73.9 x 8.5mm and weighs 200 grams. Talking about the display, it has a 6.7 inches second-generation LTPO AMOLED with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The display can move from 120Hz to 1Hz depending on the task running.
The resolution of the display is 3216 x 1440 pixels with 525 PPI. It has 1300 nits of brightness, 20:1:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
It runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 but this is for the Chinese version, the global version will feature the OxygenOS. Just like its predecessor, the 10 Pro has a triple camera setup at the rear, they include a 48MP Sony IMX789 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor 150° ultra-wide unit, and an 8MP 3.3x telephoto shooter with OIS.
For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor on the front. All these cameras are co-tuned by Hasselblad with features like Hasselblad Natural Color Optimization 2.0, XPan Mode, and more.
Other features of the smartphone include 5G connectivity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, USB Type-C (USB 3.1), x-axis linear vibration motor, and dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
As for the battery capacity, it has a 5000mAh cell that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging or 50W AirVOOC fast wireless charging. It also has support for reverse wireless charging.
The OnePlus 10 Pro will go on sale on January 13 by 10 AM in China, the company is yet to reveal its global launch date. Below is how much it will be selling for in China.
