Evan Blass, a popular and reputable tipster has shared the renders and key specs of the upcoming Motorola Moto G50 5G. Recall that in June, Evan Blass claimed that Motorola phones codenamed Lisbon and Saipan will be heading to the market as the Moto G60S (launched last week) and Moto G50 5G, respectively.
Motorola announced the Moto G50 5G (codenamed Ibiza) with Snapdragon 480 SoC back in April. It appears that there could be another G50 5G for aimed towards certain markets like Brazil.
As can be seen in the leaked renders, the Moto G50 5G (Saipan) will be featuring a waterdrop notch display with a thick-sized chin. The right edge of the device seems to feature a voice assistant key, a volume rocker, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The back panel of the device has is made from plastic that has a textured appearance. Its top-left corner has a squarish camera module that houses a 48-megapixel primary camera, two auxiliary cameras, and an LED flash unit. Its bottom edge features a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, a USB port, and a speaker grille.
Earlier this month, a Motorola phone with model number XT2149-1 was approved by Brazil’s Anatel certification site. It is speculated that this device could be the rumored Moto G50 5G (Saipan).
The certification could only reveal that it is powered by a 4,700mAh battery. It is likely to carry support for 20W fast charging. The retail package of the device may include earphones and a protective case apart from the handset.
