It seems like Meizu is preparing to launch a smartphone to succeed the Meizu 18 flagship series. A tipster on Weibo by the name ‘Panda is bald’ has revealed the possibility of Meizu launching the successors of the Meizu 18.
According to him, “Meizu stronger flagship is coming”. The Meizu 18 series which are currently the flagship smartphone for Meizu uses Snapdragon 888. So ‘Panda’ write-up indicates that the new upcoming Meizu device might sport a Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset.
Earlier this month, we recall that there are two Meizu smartphones with M182Q and M192Q model numbers being certified by TENAA. It was speculated that this phone may be the more improved version or the more affordable variant of the Meizu 18 series, likely Meizu 18s or 18T.
But could they be the phones that the tipster on Weibo is talking about? Well, we don’t think so because he said that they will be more powerful than the flagship Meizu 18 series.
We have come across a report where the smartphone being certified on TENAA uses Snapdragon 870 chipset or the Dimensity 1200 SoC. Hence, the device may be the water-down version of the Meizu 18 series.
The new Meizu phone that ‘Panda is bald’ is talking about might be an entirely new phone. Likely Meizu 19 series. Anyways, none of these reports has been confirmed by the company. We have to wait a bit to see how things unfold.
