A new leak shows that Asus might be launching the ROG Phone 5s on August 16 this month. The phone will make use of the latest Snapdragon 888+ chipset. Note that this is a mere leak and it is not yet confirmed by the company.
A tipster revealed this leak on Twitter. He said that the device will have an OLED display with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. He also revealed that it will come in two storage configurations. There will be 16GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant and 18GB RAM + 512GB ROM variant.
The battery capacity is going to be 6000mAh with 65W fast charging support. Lastly, he mentioned that it is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset.
Asus has not made any comment regarding the ROG Phone 5s but we will have to wait till August 16 to see what happens. If the phone indeed exits, then it will be the second smartphone with the Snapdragon 888+ chipset after the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
