Redmi is reportedly launching its first-ever gaming smartphone on April ending. We have seen a lot of rumours about the Redmi gaming smartphone. The device has also been certified by the major certification authorities with model number M2104K10C.
The company has now gone to Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, to officially confirm that they are indeed launching a gaming smartphone. Redmi didn’t reveal the exact date for the launch but they said it will be on this month ending. They also revealed their partnership with the Call of Duty mobile.
Redmi partnered with Call of Duty to bring an enhanced and smooth gaming experience. The company did not reveal the specifications of the device but thanks to tipsters who have given us some key details of the device. We heard it will be coming with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
The display will be Samsung’s E4 material AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate. Recent reports show that it will have a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera. The Redmi gaming phone is reported to be powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. It is also expected to come with shoulder triggers for more gaming controls.
This is all the information known so far about the Redmi gaming smartphone. Redmi is a sub-brand to Xiaomi and has since been making affordable mid-range smartphones. It is nice to see them diving into the gaming segment. Currently, gaming smartphones are very expensive and we hope the Redmi gaming smartphone will be affordable.
Xiaomi also has a sub-brand dubbed Black Shark and they focus on gaming phones only. They recently released their Black Shark 4 series which is a bomb. We will wait till April ending to see what Redmi has in store for us.
