The iQOO 8 series smartphone will be announced on August 17 this month. While we are a week away from the launch, several leaks and rumours regarding the said phone are all over the internet.
iQOO even teased the picture quality of the pro version and revealed its camera configurations. We also saw that the phone will support 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging.
Now, we have seen the standard iQOO 8 on GeekBench with its hardware specifications. Although it is listed with the model number ‘V2141A’, we know it is the iQOO 8 because a reliable tipster, @Digital chat station, had said so in his previous leaks.
So the GeekBench listing shows that the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm chipset with one core clocked at 3.0GHz. It confirms that the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+.
The 8GB RAM variant of the phone was tested on Geekbench which managed to pull off 1,133 points in the single-core test and 3,696 points in the multi-core test.
On the software front, it boots Android 11 OS which is likely to come with OriginOS on top. The phone will use a Samsung E5 AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution, 10-bit colour support, and 517 PPI pixel density.
Specifications are saying that it will have a 12GB RAM option which supports 4GB virtual RAM. It will be paired with 256GB of internal storage. There is a triple camera at the rear and a punch-hole cut-out on the front.
