Huawei P50 series has been on the rumour mill for a long time now. Some of the smartphone specs and render has also been leaked over the past few months. The smartphone was expected to debut in March but due to some reason, it did not.
It was reported that the phone is being delayed due to some shortage of equipment, coupled with the pandemic. But the latest report is that the launch of the Huawei P50 series is getting nearer. So far, we have known a few about the camera details of the phone and design but let’s talk about the release date first.
A Weibo user by the name “Technology is interesting” has revealed that the P50 series will be released on July 29 this year. He stated the date in a binary format “1011011001” which when converted reveals 729 but further in decimal shows 29.
So eyes will all be on July 29 for the long-awaited unveiling of the Huawei P50 series. In addition, another tipster on Weibo by the name “Xuan Mian XPro” has revealed that the majority of the P50 series will be 4G supported only.
There wouldn’t be a 5G version and that is during July but there could be 5G versions later in the year. The 4G versions will be powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 9000 chipset. Huawei P50 series having 4G will also make the phone affordable as the price will be lower.
Previously, it was revealed that the P50 series will use a 1/1.18-inch sensor for the ultrawide angle camera. The P50 Pro and the P50 Pro+ is rumoured to use 1-inch Sony IMX800 as their main sensor. If that turns out true, that will make them the phone with the biggest camera sensor ever.
The P50 will have a slight curve on its OLED display, while the P50 Pro and Pro+ will have “waterfall” curved sides. Huawei P50 series based on the render revealed officially by Huawei will come with a four-camera sensor at the rear.
The cameras are in two separate huge circular modules, just like the Honor 50 series. About the P50 series though, they will include the Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and the P50 Pro+. Like they usually do, there might be a P50 lite later.
