It is now official, the Huawei P50 series release date has now been confirmed by the company. The company has taken to a Chinese social media platform ‘Weibo’ to announce the launch date for the smartphone.
According to them, the Huawei P50 series will be released on July 29 this month. Recall that a tipster on Weibo recently revealed the launch date as July 29, now it has been confirmed today by the company.
Aside from making the launch date official, they refused to showcase the specs of the phone, not even a hint. Meanwhile a tipster on Weibo by the name “Xuan Mian XPro” has revealed that the majority of the P50 series will be 4G supported only.
There wouldn’t be a 5G version and that is during July but there could be 5G versions later in the year. The 4G versions will be powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 9000 chipset.
Huawei P50 series having 4G will also make the phone affordable as the price will be lower. Previously, it was revealed that the P50 series will use a 1/1.18-inch sensor for the ultrawide angle camera.
The P50 Pro and the P50 Pro+ is rumoured to use 1-inch Sony IMX800 as their main sensor. If that turns out true, that will make them the phone with the biggest camera sensor ever.
The P50 will have a slight curve on its OLED display, while the P50 Pro and Pro+ will have “waterfall” curved sides. Huawei P50 series based on the render revealed officially by Huawei will come with a four-camera sensor at the rear.
The cameras are in two separate huge circular modules, just like the Honor 50 series. About the P50 series though, they will include the Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and the P50 Pro+. Like they usually do, there might be a P50 lite later.
