Oppo A16 has been listed on the FCC database. The listing reveals its battery capacity and model number. We can also see a design sketch of the phone which shows that it will come with a rectangular camera module at the rear. The rectangular camera module sketching didn’t reveal the number of camera sensors the phone will have.
Oppo A16 will be succeeding the Oppo A15 of last year which is unveiled in October 2020. The predecessor, A15, comes with a 6.52-inches HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It comes powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 chipset, triple rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 4230 mAh non-removable battery without fast charging support. Let’s take a detailed look at the FCC listing of the Oppo A16.
Oppo A16 FCC listing
The Oppo A16 has appeared on FCC database. This shows that Oppo will be adding a new phone to their “A” series lineup. Like we mentioned earlier, the listing revealed its battery capacity and model number. The smartphone has a CPH2269 model number.
It has a rated battery capacity of 4,980mAh which in other words is a 5000mAh battery. The charging speed of the phone is not revealed but judging from the older A15, it might arrive with a 10W charging speed. This is a slow charging speed by the way.
The design revealed by FCC shows that it will have a rectangular camera module at the rear but the number of sensors is not known. Unfortunately, this is all the information the FCC listing of the Oppo A16 showed. Oppo is yet to announce that they are working on a new Oppo A-series phone though.
But this device getting on FCC listing means that it will be unveiled soon. Let’s wait for future development and of course, we will update you here. Separately, the Oppo Reno 6 series is scheduled to debut in China next month. Reports said that it will launch in India on July.
