Asus, after launching the ROG Phone 5 series devices in India, they are gearing up to launch the Zenfone 8 series as well. The series will include the Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8 Mini, and the Zenfone 8 Pro. The latter has already received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification yesterday. Today seems to be the turn of the Zenfone 8 Mini.
Asus Zenfone 8 Mini has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, hinting at its launch in India. The certification shows that the smartphone has the model number “ASUS_I006D”. The pro version which got certified yesterday has the “ASUS_I007D” model number. Currently, it is only the standard Zenfone 8 that is yet to get this BIS certification.

The Asus Zenfone 8 Mini BIS certification shows that it has an “ASUS_I006D” model number. Not much is known about the phone but the device has appeared on several certifications. It has received TUV certification, seen on Geekbench, and also teased by the company. Let’s take a look at all of it.
The phone is expected to come with a 5.92-inch OLED display. It will sport an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera. Under the hood, the Asus Zenfone 8 Mini will sport the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. The chipset will be assisted by 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
It will run on Android 11 with Asus custom skin on top. For photography, it is expected to come with two sensors. There will be a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor and a secondary Sony IMX663 sensor. What will be keeping the light on will be a 4000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging capability.
Renders of the phone recently appeared. It shows that it will come with a 3.5mm head jack. There are reports that it will feature IP68 dust or water-resistant.
