Samsung won’t be launching any Galaxy Note phones again going forward. The Note series is now dead and buried. This was revealed by the Samsung chief, Roh Tae-moon, at the MWC event.
He said that the Note series will now come out as Ultra referring to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The recently announced Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with all features of the Galaxy Note, the only difference is the name.
His comment may mean that the future Galaxy ‘S’ Ultra series will have features of the Note series. If you think the order way round, it means that Samsung has changed the Galaxy Note name to Galaxy ‘S’ Ultra.
The Note is not dead but in another name. Anyways, we will have to wait and see what the 2023 Galaxy S23 Ultra will look and feel like. The last Galaxy Note was the Galaxy Note 20 launched in 2020, since then Samsung has not released any Galaxy Note.
When Samsung failed to announce the Note in 2020, it raised a lot of questions, and the S21 supporting the S pen in 2021 already shows that Samsung has lost interest in the Note. The new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra says it all.
