Microsoft has started sending out invites for its latest event that will happen on September 22. Just like how its April 14 event gave birth to Surface Laptop 4, the September 22 event will give birth to Surface Duo 2.
On the Microsoft’s website, they posted a teaser image of a laptop that seems to have a detachable keyboard and a kickstand. It appears slim and looks like the Surface Pro 7. The laptop will likely launch under the Surface Pro lineup.
It can be recalled that the company had announced the Surface Pro 7 Plus business and school centric laptop earlier this year. The Surface Pro 8 will likely debut in this event. There might also be a flagship laptop such as Surface Book 4 or Surface Laptop Pro or even Surface Laptop Studio according to Windows Central debuting in that event.
They will run on Windows 11 out of the box and may have a detachable display that enables you to use them as a tablet. The Surface Duo 2 dual-display device might also debut in that event. The dual-display phone recently appeared on Geekbench.
It shows that it will come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB RAM, and an Android 11 operating system. Not much is known about the Surface Duo 2 for now. The Microsoft event on September 22 will kick off at 11 AM ET.
