Bose has launched a new headphone dubbed the QuietComfort 45. This headphone brings active noise cancellation and long battery life. It is succeeding the QuietComfort 35 ii. However, it retains the same design as the 35 ii but comes with improved active noise cancellation and USB Type-C.
The company said that the Bose QuietComfort 45 is lightweight and comfortable. It features smooth cushions with no pleats, luxuriously plush synthetic leather, and minimal clamping force.”
The active noise cancellation feature in the QuietComfort 45 now comes with what Bose calls “Aware Mode,” this allows you to hear the background noise giving that feeling of not having a headphone on.
There is a button on the left earcup that allows users to switch between the quiet mode and Aware mode. Quiet mode is simply noise cancellation, you won’t hear any background noise.
It comes with four external microphones for better call quality. When making a phone call with QuietComfort 45, it focuses on your voice and uses a noise-rejecting algorithm to filter out environmental sounds for clearer conversations, even in windy conditions.
The headphone has a battery life of 24 hours and it takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. It also supports fast charging, a 15-minute charge will provide up to 2.5 hours of listening. Like any other headphone, it comes with an app that is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple store.
The app will help in navigating and setting up the headphone. The headphone makes use of phones voice Assistant if you press and hold the multifunction button. It doesn’t come with an in-built voice Assistant.
Bose QuietComfort 45 price is $329. It can be pre-ordered in Black or White Smoke colours via the manufacturer’s website. It will ship on September 23.
