After the launch of HarmonyOS, Huawei’s previous EMUI seems to be in a state of suspension, and it is believed that Huawei should have given up EMUI development. However, Huawei’s global website unveiled EMUI 12, confirming that EMUI is still in development progress, but it seems to be applied only to global markets, and the domestic is HarmonyOS.
Huawei’s EMUI 12, compared to EMUI 11 changes quite a lot, especially in terms of design, the function is not too much new. One of the most obvious is the new UI design, the overall more minimalist, with black, white, blue as the main colour, claimed to be a clean, sophisticated appearance.
Animation effects have also been improved, with gravity and magnet motion design, imitating the movement of celestial bodies in the universe, while supporting steps weight adjustment of fonts, you can customize the size and thickness of the font.
There’s also a new control panel, a new notification centre, Device + Smart Collaboration, a distributed file system, cross-device video calling with MeeTime, enhanced security protection, and more. Overall, EMUI 12 has added some HarmonyOS features in addition to its UI changes, but no upgradeable models have been announced yet.
