What seems like a new Nokia smartphone with model number TA-1374 has gotten FCC certification. Recall that this same Nokia device having this model number was discovered in July via the IECEE database. It shows that the device will be launched in New Zealand, Australia, and other European countries.
The FCC certification of the Nokia TA-1374 shows that it will come with Wi-Fi bands, BT 5.1, NFC, FM Radio and 5G connectivity. The FCC certification platform also revealed its battery capacity. It will come with a 4370mAh battery that will likely support 24W fast charging.
The image of the certification shows that it will have a 3.5mm head jack that a lot of smartphones are avoiding these days for no good reason and a Google Assistant button. There is no idea of which Nokia device this could be. It may be announced later this year.
The latest Nokia smartphone so far is the Nokia XR20 and it was recently announced in Kenya. The smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 32-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera on the front.
On the rear, the handset features a 64-megapixel triple camera setup with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Under the hood, it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC which is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. It is powered by a large 4,470mAh battery pack that supports 18W charging through a USB Type C port.
The XR20 runs on the Android 11 OS out of the box and has a 3.5mm headphone jack, features 5G support, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and more. The device is available in Kenya for a starting price of 40,000 KES (roughly 365 US Dollars).
