Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO, weeks ago unveiled the iQOO 8 flagship series smartphone. The series includes the standard iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. The vanilla iQOO 8 have gone on sale a few days but the Pro version remains off of the market.
Thankfully, the iQOO 8 Pro has gone on sale today in China. So if you are in China and has been longing to acquire the device, now is your best time.
The phone is available in many storage options to choose from. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage is priced at 4,999 yuan (~$771) while the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage costs 5,499 yuan (~$848).
On the other hand, the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 5,999 yuan (~$925). The phone comes in two colour options which are Racing and Legend.
Taking about the iQOO 8 Pro specs, the smartphone comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. It features a 120Hz screen refresh rate with a curved panel. There’s a 10-bit colour temperature, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a contrast ratio of up to 8,000,000:1.
Under the hood, it comes powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset, paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The rear of the phone houses a triple camera setup.
The main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX766V f/1.75 1.0µm PTZ with a 7P lens, PDAF, and 23mm focal length, there is 48MP f/2.2 114° ultra-wide with 6P lens, and a 16MP telephoto sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera sitting in a punch hole cut-out.
What is keeping the light on is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
