Gionee is preparing to launch a new smartphone very soon. A Gionee smartphone with a GNS2112Y model number has appeared on TENAA. We only know it as Gionee GNS2112Y because its official marketing name has not been unveiled.
The first thing that caught our attention is its striking resemblance with the Redmi Note 10 series smartphone. It comes with the same camera module housing three sensors.
A single led flash can be seen in the camera module as well. The phone appears to have curved edges with a volume and power button on its right side. Aside from the design, TENAA also revealed its key specs.
Gionee GNS2112Y certified by TENAA
As per TENAA certification, the phone will have an 11mm thickness. This is huge for a smartphone these days. We can’t spot a reason while this phone has such thickness, it doesn’t even come with a big battery to justify it.
The length and width of the phone measure 174mm and 81mm respectively. It weighs 214.5 grams. The phone may go official in China in black, white, blue, and red colour options.
Coming to the front, the phone uses a punch-hole display and measures a gigantic 6.81-inch diagonally. It is an HD+ resolution which is 720 x 1600 pixels. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor.
It runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system. The phone may arrive in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB internal storage. The chipset that will be powering the phone is unknown but it will be a 4G chipset.
As for the cameras, TENAA didn’t reveal that one. It will be powered by a 3,920mAh battery capacity which may not support fast charging. The phone has its fingerprint sensor mounted at the side.
These are all the information its TENAA listing revealed. The Gionee GNS2112Y may launch soon and we will then have the full specifications of the device.
