Xiaomi could launch the Redmi 10 Prime very soon. The phone is listed on the IMEI website, which confirms the device’s model number and moniker.
The upcoming budget Redmi phone has the model number 21061119BI. The listing, spotted first by tipster Mukul Sharma, also lists out the various LTE bands that the device will support.
Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the launch date of the Redmi 10 Prime. The device is expected to launch alongside the vanilla Redmi 10 very soon. It is speculated that the devices are likely to make their way to India in September or October.
In addition, Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Redmi 10 smartphone. It will come with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD with an adaptive refresh rate, which switches between 45, 60 and 90Hz. The screen has a hole-punch cutout on top for the 8MP front camera.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity G88 SoC. It will come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device measures 161.96 x 75.54 x 8.93mm and weighs 182 grams.
On the back is a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary lens. It will also have an 8MP ultrawide sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro.
The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. It will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi’s new Redmi phone boots MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. It comes in three colours – Carbon Gray, Pebble White, Sea Blue.
