The launch of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is getting closer as the tablet keeps bagging several certifications recently. It has appeared on the FCC platform which shows that it will come with a 22.5W fast charging support, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support.
It also shows that the device will run on the MIUI 12.5 custom skin. Now the latest report is that the device has appeared on the 3C certification platform. This time, it shows that the Mi Pad 5 will have three variants.
Xiaomi tablets with ‘M2105K81AC’, ‘21051182C’, and ‘M2105K81C’ model numbers have been certified by the 3C platform. The one with the ‘M2105K81C’ model number has become the first Xiaomi tablet to come with a 5G connectivity.
The 3C certification platform revealed that the Xiaomi ‘M2105K81AC’ and ‘M2105K81C’ tablets support 67W super flash charging. The ‘21051182C’ tablet which is likely going to be the base variant supports up to 33W fast charging.
These are the only information the 3C platform revealed regarding the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablets. We also spotted the Xiaomi Mi CC11 and the Mi Mix 4 on the certification platform. They have ‘2107119DC’ and ‘2106118C’ model numbers respectively.
The Mi Mix 4 will come with a 120W fast charging while the Mi CC1 will come with a 33W fast charging, as per 3C.
Other leaks about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5
The Mi Pad 5 has been surfacing on the web for some time now. So some of its specifications have been leaked so far. It will come with an OLED or IPS LCD screen. The resolution is 2560 x 1600 pixels.
The tablet features a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It will also feature 4096-level touch and In-Cell active pen technology, all to improve the viewing experience. There have been reports that it will come with a pro variant.
What will be fuelling the pro variant is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. It will also offer 5G technology for faster and smoother web surfing. The pro variant is said to come with a dual battery, each having a capacity of 4,260mAh.
In total, it will come with an 8,720mAh battery capacity. The standard Mi Pad 5 will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset and also offer 5G connectivity. For security purposes, they will arrive with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
A tipster earlier revealed that a Xiaomi tablet has a 10.95-inch display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a 12MP primary camera, 22.5W charging, and MIUI 12.5.
