Vivo has confirmed that they are entering the tablet market. Last year, Vivo alongside its sub-brand, iQOO, registered trademarks for Vivo Pad, iQOO Pad, iQOO Book, and NEX Book. When the trademarks were filed, we thought that Vivo and iQOO will release their tablet that year but they didn’t.
Although since then, Vivo has not confirmed or made any comment regarding entering the tablet market. However, in the new development, Vivo has now admitted that they are entering the tablet market.
They revealed that their first tablet will be launched in the fourth quarter of the year. Vivo pad is their most recent trademark filed in Europe. The pad was found in the European Union Intellectual Property Office database.
While none of its specs has leaked yet, the render of the smartphone has shown up recently. The render shows that the Vivo Pad will have a flat-screen without a notch cut-out for the selfie camera. This might be that the tablet won’t come with a selfie camera or maybe the render isn’t original.
At the rear, it has a rectangular camera module that houses dual camera sensors and an Led flash. The volume buttons are at the left while the power button sits on the right. The only Chinese brand to have joined the tablet segment is Xiaomi and Huawei.
There are reports that Realme is also planning to launch its tablet and laptop soon. Other Chinese brands that are likely to join the bandwagon soon include iQOO and Oppo.
