The latest report by the Nokia Power User blog is that Nokia might be launching the 8.3 5G successor very soon, probably in the third quarter of the year. The smartphone marketing name isn’t known but it is speculated to be called the Nokia X50.
Recall that Nokia recently changed its naming convention earlier this year. The first smartphone to arrive with this new naming convention is the Nokia X20, X10, G10, and the G20. Nokia is no longer using dots in their device’s moniker.
So instead of expecting the 8.4 5G to be the successor of the 8.3 5G, it will be called the X50 if the recent changes are to be followed. Also, note that Nokia has not declared any X50 smartphone existence talk less of confirming its marketing name.
Alleged Nokia X50 specifications
As per the Nokia power user, the alleged Nokia X50 smartphone will be coming with a 6.5inches PureDisplay V4 with a QHD+ resolution. It might also feature a 120Hz refresh rate display.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to arrive with the unannounced Snapdragon 775 chipset. Storage configurations are unknown for now but it will run on the Android 11 operating system.
As for the camera, it will feature a Penta-cam camera setup with 108MP as the main sensor. Other sensors might include ultra-wide, depth, macro and telephoto sensors.
The Nokia X50 will feature Zeiss optics and OZO Audio tech just like Nokia 8.3 5G. Coming to the battery segment, it is revealed that it will come with a 6000mAh battery capacity.
There is no mention of the charging wattage but the recent TUV certification revealed a 6000mAh Nokia battery with 22W fast charging support. That could be the Nokia X50’s battery. This is all the information known so far, we expect to learn more about the phone in the future.
