The launch date for the Redmi gaming smartphone has been officially announced. Redmi official Weibo account revealed that the Redmi gaming phone will be launching on April 27. It says the official name for the gaming smartphone will be K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
This means that it will be similar in design to the K40 series but with different internals and configuration. The company even released a GIF of the gaming phone.
The GIF shows that indeed, it will look like the Redmi K40 series. But this will come with a led ring light that runs across the camera sensors to show when gaming mode is activated. As it is seen, the gaming mode will be triggered by a physical button, sitting right next to the top trigger.
It will also have a shoulder button for more gaming controls. Additionally, Redmi revealed that they have partnered with the Call of Duty mobile game last week. Redmi partnered with Call of Duty to bring an enhanced and smooth gaming experience.
The company did not reveal the specifications of the device but thanks to tipsters who have given us some key details of the device. We heard it will be coming with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. The display will be Samsung’s E4 material AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Recent reports show that it will have a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera. The Redmi gaming phone is reported to be powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. It is also expected to come with shoulder triggers for more gaming controls.
