It seems like Samsung is planning to launch an already existed wearable but with a different color in the first quarter of 2021. A reputable leakster dubbed EVAN BLASS via Voice media has posted an image of the already existed Galaxy Watch Active 2. Recall that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 was launched last year in August but this upcoming one will only differ in color.
The Voice media’s image reveals the watch in Rose Gold color. When it was launched last year, it came in Pink Gold along with Black, silver color options. We don’t know why Samsung has chosen to bring another color variant considering the fact that they have already launched its successor this year dubbed the Galaxy Watch Active 3.
For the exact launch date, it seemed like it is going to be unveiled alongside the flagship S21 series because if you look at the display of the watch, you can see the date reading January 14 hinting at January 14 as the launch date. This is also the date the S21 series would be unveiled. The Galaxy Unpack Event is a huge event where a lot of Samsung products are unveiled of which wearable is definitely one of them.
It seems like it is too early for Samsung to bring the Watch Active 4 which is why they decided to introduce another variant of the already launched Watch Active 2 to make it up for a wearable launch. By the way, the Watch Active 2 comes with a 1.2-inch(40mm), 1.4-inch(44mm) sAMOLED round display, Exynos 9110 dual-core chipset, and 768MB of RAM. It also has Bluetooth/4G connectivity plus an Aluminum/Stainless-steel variant and supports ECG measurement, 39 workout modes, and more.
Samsung has been updating its Watches constantly. Back in April, it brought a new Health Monitor App support which eventually made its way to Watch Active 2. Recently, the company also brought VO2 max measurement for endurance and Smart reply features. So, users shouldn’t be wary of it being outdated once it is launched.
