During the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 launch event, the company announced an improved version of their already existing MIUI 12.5. They call it Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced edition.
The company revealed that the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced edition will start rolling out to the first batch of smartphones starting August 13. Just like they said, some of their phones have started receiving this update.
A total of 12 premium Mi and Redmi-branded smartphones are part of the first batch of eligible devices for the new software. Out of these, as of writing this article, the update is available (1, 2, 3) for 6 of them.
These smartphones are the Mi MIX 4, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10S, Redmi K40, Redmi K30 Pro, and Redmi K30S Ultra. The update is only live for the Chinese variant of these smartphones.
Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is all about optimizations. Hence, it does not bring any features. However, it is worth noting that Xiaomi is separately testing iOS-like widgets.
